Welcome to Straight-Forward, a Toronto-based support group for straight spouses of gays, lesbians, bisexual & trans-gender.According to The Straight Spouse Network, it is estimated that there are more than 2 million mixed orientation couples and that more than 80 percent end up divorced. Mixed orientation couples means that one spouse is either gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender.
Supports exists for the gay/lesbian partner in their 'coming out' process. However the straight spouse is often left to deal with the aftermath with little to no formal support network.
