Annie Lewis, M.A.
Annie is co-founder/co-facilitator of Straight-Forward. Annie is empathic of mixed orientation issues
and draws on her genuine warmth and caring, positive attitude, academic background, and life experiences
in co-facilitating the peer support group. Annie was happily married for almost 24 years when her husband
disclosed his homosexuality.
Annie's career has spanned over 30 years in the health care field across Canada. Currently, she is a
psychotherapist in private practice in Toronto and Mississauga. Annie has a special interest in
relationships, marital counselling and sexual orientation issues. In counselling individuals and couples,
Annie combines her therapeutic and coaching skills to inspire and motivate clients to gain insight into
their challenges. She encourages clients to draw on their strengths and to realize their untapped potential
to create happier and more meaningful lives. She provides day/evening office hours, as well as telephone

On a more personal level, Annie gains energy and peacefulness from nature’s beauty. One of her greatest
passions is being a mother to her son and daughter and spending time with her family and friends. Her
latest love and joy is her little grand-daughter. Annie volunteers as a First Responder for Straight
Spouse Network and enjoys the many connections with Canadian and International straight spouses.
June Galbraith is a registered nurse specialized in
pediatrics from London England. She has been working in the field of
palliative care and for a hospice for the past ten years. With hands-on
experience and as an creative educator June has gained extensive insights
into the field of dying and death, affording her the opportunity to
appreciate that all life events create the chance for growth and reflection.
Having studied, and attended many educational workshops on grief and
bereavement she brings this body of knowledge and gentle sensitivity
to enhance the group setting. June is co-founder of Straight-Forward.
She was happily married for 27years before her husband came out as a
gay man. June embraces the close relationship she has with her son,
daughter and son-in-law, and enjoys the time spent with them, her friends
and allowing her garden to create pure joy in her life.
